2016 Election Candidates
DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 14, 2016
Dear SAC Members:
SAC is currently seeking candidates for our Secretary/Treasurer position and 3 Member-at-Large positions to serve on SAC‘s Executive Board for a two year term beginning at the conclusion of the AAA meeting in November 2016.
If you are a Member of SAC, please consider running for these positions, and/or pass this along to anyone you feel might be a good candidate.
Deadline to submit candidate materials is February 14, 2016
Below are the instructions for submitting candidate materials.
Candidates must be a member of SAC to run.
The SAC Executive Board is responsible for the general governance of the organization and makes decisions regarding its budget, journal, spring meetings, membership dues, publicity, public service initiatives, and other issues involved with successfully running the organization. It meets twice a year in conjunction with SAC’s Spring Meeting and AAA’s Annual Fall Meeting, and has regular remote meetings via email. In addition, SAC Officers are expected to serve on one or more subcommittees during her/his tenure.
The Society for the Anthropology is a volunteer-run organization that depends on the leadership of its members to maintain its operations in ways that best serve the needs of its membership.
This is a dynamic time to be involved with SAC so consider running for a seat on SAC’s Board and submit your candidate material right away!
