The Anthropology of Consciousness Blog serves to share SAC related news and events while also promoting the scholarship of the members in our community and fostering an open online dialogue about consciousness. We are devoted to both bringing the anthropology of consciousness to a wider audience as well as providing an online forum for discussing the latest developments in the field. In accordance with the core goals of the AAA, our blog seeks to further the professional interests of anthropologists and other scholars through the dissemination of anthropological knowledge and its uses to address human problems. More specifically, we are interested in contributing to the dialogue surrounding cross-cultural, experimental, experiential, and theoretical approaches to the study of consciousness.
