Anthropology of Consciousness journal
- Associate Editor: The main task is to contact and recruit peer reviewers. The task requires persistence, as invited scholars are often unavailable or unresponsive. You can expect to be managing about 5-7 manuscripts on a rolling basis. The task is essentially administrative and open in terms of a candidate’s training and background
- Copy editor: The main task is to correct grammatical and spelling errors, adjust for clarity, and other issues related to readability. You can expect an average of one or two manuscripts every one or two months. We require copy editors for English, and may eventually require for Spanish, Portuguese, and French. The task requires a good sense of how to write clearly and formally, with attention to detail. The task is open in terms of a candidate’s training and background.
- Peer reviewers: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts and make recommendations for revisions and improvements to help an author revise the text and achieve a quality that makes it publishable. Reviewers uphold the standards of academic work. The journal implements double-blind review, meaning that authors and reviewers remain unknown to each other. The task requires acquaintance with academic standards, including graduate studies, research experience, and publications. The journal publishes on a wide range of topics, so we need a broad scope of reviewers. Please inform us of your areas of expertise.
